He was most recently Vice President for Real Estate Services for Chevron. His responsibilities included overall portfolio and asset management, real estate transactions, and real estate strategy formulation and implementation. His tenure covered a particularly active period for real estate. Chevron merged with Gulf Oil in the mid-80's - at the time the largest corporate merger, and this was followed by an employee reduction from roughly 80,000 to 40,000 with the corresponding need to rationalize a large and underutilized real estate portfolio. Dave has participated in and implemented numerous organizational and outsourcing studies for the Corporate Real Estate department and also has significant development experience with a Chevron development subsidiary - Chevron Land and Development. More recently, he initiated and led Chevron's program to web enable real estate and business services and following retirement from Chevron in June 2000 has continued to play a key consulting role on this project. He has made several presentations at industry meetings in the last year on Chevron's web enabling program. Dave has held an elected position in local government for almost 20 years and has a Ph.D in Engineering from London University. He is an alumnus of Columbia University's Senior Executive Program. |
| DAVE GREEN, PH.D - Has over 25 years of technology management experience including 2 years of responsibility for strategic business planning and monitoring all IT infrastructure products and services for Chevron. He is particularly skilled at evaluating and developing realistic strategic plans; project management; work process development and improvement; and organizational strategies. He has developed and managed complex alliance relationships and played a key role in outsourcing of infrastructure services. He also has substantial experience in aligning internal IT plans and operations with operating units' strategies and plans. Frequently, this required him to act as a facilitator and create novel processes to bridge communication gaps. Mr. Green has a Ph.D. in Chemistry with experiences in both commodity and specialty petrochemical business/technical issues. | HAL MATTHEWS - Senior Principal of SPACE and Director of Technology & Business Development.
