Kim Myran is a very special SPACE HERO. A literal hero, no
figurative play on words is being used for Kim.
Kim was promoted this year to Lieutenant Colonel in the Army,
has been called to active duty, and she on her way or in IRAQ.
We are receiving emails from Kim to stay
in touch and are seeing the war through her eyes.
We came to know Kim over the last 3 years
where she has been working in our Seattle office. Kim, always
a leader, has taken on responsibilities for the Seattle team,
under the direction of David Reeves, our Principal in Charge
of Seattle, who divides his time between Seattle and Chicago.
Kim has been a committed team member while maintaining her
position in the Army Reserves. We have tracked Kim on her
various reserve activities, and shared successes along the
way when she qualified as an expert marksman, planned the
interior of freighters to increase the shipment capacities,
and passed her Humvee defensive driving classes.
Kim has combined her professional training
as an architect with the military objectives and focused on
the preservation of national cultural and historic landmarks.
Kim is now commanding a unit assigned to the rebuilding of
landmarks in IRAQ.
We are sharing Kim’s story with you
as you no doubt have an equal interest in the both the actions
of war, and the impact is has on people’s lives. We
miss Kim and send out all the positive spirit from SPACE to
assure her safe return home.
As we know Kim,
